Our Story

Flor and myself began seeing each other regularly in May 2006 and have been dating officially since the 1st of July 2006. 14 months later my lovely, Flor Rodriguez, said she would marry me late in the evening on the 31st of August. It was a special day as she was inducted into medical school and had her White Coat Ceremony on the same day.

Interestingly, we have known each other since September of 2000 when we met in college. She was a Freshman and I was a Junior. We were only casual acquaintances at first as we merely worked together on campus. Over the course of a few years we no longer worked together but we still came in occasional contact as we both had a few mutual friends. In time many of our friends crossed and we began seeing each other more often. After roughly 5 years we started to became good friends as she was dating one of my good friends. At the same time we found that I was trying to date her roommate; or course that didn't work out though. :) Finally, last year in the Spring of 2006 both of us found ourselves single and bored and we began hanging out together on a near daily basis. One day I kissed her awkwardly and the next thing you know we began dating. We have since grown closer and closer, we've fallen in love, now we look forward to our lives together.

Flor is now in her first year of medical school at UCSD and I am starting my fifth year working for Union Bank Of California. Virtually all of our close friends are now are mutual friends and I attribute our relationship to them. If it wasn't for them continualy bringing us together I don't know how we would have ever found ourselves together.
